I was asked to cover a shoot at the last moment for the UCS. It was already organised I just had to show up and make sure I could produce an image that would fit in with all the previous shoots for the new prospectus.

I got to work along side a great video team from Momentum. They had to replicate the still I was taking in the video they were producing for special Augmented reality sections in the upcoming prospectus.

It was great to work with a creative team and get feedback on what I was producing as they had worked on this brief previously. I had one portrait to capture, a student. I never know how someone is going to react when I stick a lens in their face, but this student was brilliant. Very confident and relaxed and most of all knew his course and where he wanted to go with his life. I took a few snaps on my phone while he was being interviewed on camera, it was lovely to see such positivity and drive in someone so young.

Action on set. Space was tight because of the working aquatic equipment in the room, but working together with the chaps from Momentum meant we were able to open up the space with some well positioned lighting and a tightly framed shot.
